Making the most out of December plans. Day thirteen (yep).
Every day I run out of tokens.
They’re the units of AI juice needed to make all of those videos of monkeys in business suits walking on the surface of the moon.

Or the computing power needed to build an app that teaches you how to play a Tom Waits song in a year or less.
Point is, every time you do something with AI, it takes effort, and when you give it a lot to do, you get told to chill out for a couple of hours. Sometimes several times a day.
It’s feels weird, because even though I know better, meaning I pay to use AI, I sort of expect it to be available on tap. It still often feels like a form of googling, even when I’m building automations or vibe coding apps.
And those apps and automations often have AI built into them, which users expect to be available to them, on tap.
Makes me wonder about the economic model for all these automations and Apps, as the agentic tasks they will be performing become increasingly complicated. Will it be a subscription model, a max usage model, or perhaps we will bring our own tokens to each instance where we are triggering AI.

Tools I am using to fake being an expert.
1. Beehiiv (The Platform)
"I tried other platforms, but Beehiiv is the only one that makes growth feel like a game. It’s what runs this newsletter. The Deal: You get a free trial + 20% off (I get a commission to keep the lights on)."
2. Wispr Flow (The Time Saver)
"I hate typing. This tool turns my rambling voice notes into perfect text. It’s the only way I can write this much every day. The Deal: We both get a free month if you try it."
3. Emergent (The Coding Cheat)
"I am not a coder. Emergent is my 'vibe coding' partner that writes the messy parts for me. Essential if you want to build apps without a CS degree."
🧘♂ Last Word.
Merry Christmas. 🎄
