🤖 🧠 Learning
The other day I asked Gemini how to double the readership of this newsletter in a month.
It couldn’t help itself and started by congratulating me for selecting such a fantastic goal for January before detailing the work I would need to do to make it happen.
Once I got past the really obvious stuff, meaning all the previous advice, the central advice was to create interest on social media with teaser posts.
I don’t have it in me to write sensationalist slop on the daily in the desperate hope it will socially engineer someone into clicking and then subscribing to me newsletter.
It also feels like it defeats the whole purpose of this adventure: to learn how to automate all that stuff I don’t\can’t\won’t do using 🤖 .
Which is why I asked Gemini the following:
I need some help making teaser tweets. I'd like to create an automation that could read my draft post in Beehiiv and create 6 tweets based off the text I wrote. I want an integration with both Beehiiv and with Twitter so that the automation could schedule all of the tweets. I have access to Claude and n8n and other tools if needed. Please suggest the best way to create such an automation. If there are best practices, please mention those. If there are limitation to what is possible compared to what I am asking form, please explain those. The thinking is that Claude is going to be better at writing JSONs for the AI component in n8n than Gemini. I think the central challange is going to be one of orchastration, meaning, how do I get an automation to be able to access draft content, rather than published content; how do I deal with multiple drafts; how do I create a feedback loop about the draft tweets, to fix them when needed, and then finally approve them so that the automation schedules them?
None of it sounds overly complicated but at the same time I don’t know how to do any of these things. This will be a great test of how the AI helps me overcome my own short comings.
Watch this space for updates on how I get this done this week.

What did I ship today?
I told Gemini to work and it gave me homework instead.
🧰 The Beginner’s Stack
Tools I am using to fake being an expert.
1. Beehiiv (The Platform)
"I tried other platforms, but Beehiiv is the only one that makes growth feel like a game. It’s what runs this newsletter. The Deal: You get a free trial + 20% off (I get a commission to keep the lights on)."
2. Wispr Flow (The Time Saver)
"I hate typing. This tool turns my rambling voice notes into perfect text. It’s the only way I can write this much every day. The Deal: We both get a free month if you try it."
3. Emergent (The Coding Cheat)
"I am not a coder. Emergent is my 'vibe coding' partner that writes the messy parts for me. Essential if you want to build apps without a CS degree."
🧘♂ Last Word.
It feels hard until it becomes easy.
