Teaching myself to teach AI to teach me how to build an SEO optimized directory with AI. Day seven.
Rather than power through, I decided to stop for a moment today. Figuring out why deployment, meaning connecting ideas to the real world so that everyone can see them, is more difficult for AI than making the thing itself feels significant.
It might well be where all the juice is. A place where AI needs help bridging into the real world. Just that it doesn’t realize there is a problem. Until someone points it out.
AI has changed the way I think about learning on a computer, by virtue of the way it can make the experience feel like a conversation, a one on one tutoring session rather than following a pre-recorded course online. And I’m trying to transfer the way I think of making digital things in the same way.
But there are limitations which are not easy to define. Cliches about hallucinations, pattern matching, and the probabilities of how a sentence progresses are not useful in developing a better understanding.
It’s a reason to pause. Contemplate.
