With the scraper having successfully collected 573, creating a separate webpage for each, with AI constructed description and search terms, it’s now time to review the entrees.
Every single one of them.
About 200 entries in, it’s becoming clear that something is screwy with some of the data that is scraped. The addresses for 10% of the entries says they are on streets that don’t exist in my town. When I review the entry and look at where the business shows up on google maps, they are clearly not in my town.
When I ask the 🤖 about it, it says:
Great catch! This is a known issue with how Google Places API works and how addresses are parsed.
Which just reminds me to continue in conversation with the AI, asking it questions, even when they seem obvious, and ensuring it takes new findings into consideration going forward.
Having learned from creating my CV project, I’ve ask it to create instructions for the project 5C. That way I’ll start a new chat instead of running out of space in the current one.
I also told it that we should fix this issue in the next step and to update the instructions.
Looking back a couple of weeks ago, I would have assumed that the AI remembers everything, like your garden variety conspiracy theory. Now I have a better understanding how that works and know how to make sure it “remembers” the right things.
